The work for the festival of visual poetry "The Long Stories of Perm 2012".
It happened that the Egor Letov's poem "I didn't see the angel" went to me.
The poem's theme, and the material (the long fence of the 46 slabs) almost immediately direct me to the graphic decision. The Egor's poem reminded me a prayer, and I chose the old Slavic script (vjaz) to increase this "liturgical" sound. But this is a prayer of a furious punk poet, so letterforms are broken, sharp and sometimes rather strange. Letters either shake with strain or laugh in passer's face or freeze in awkward shapes in angel's presence.
