
Oleg Macujev
Graphic and type designer, calligrapher and typographer. He graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University («design of mass media» specialization), in 2004–2007 he studied at the Alexander Tarbeev Type Design Workshop of Moscow State University of Printing. Since 2004 he works as a graphic designer in different Moscow design studios and publishing houses. In 2007–2008 he also lectured on type and calligraphy at the National Institute of Modern Design. He took part at «Svjato Kyrylyci» festivals (Kharkiv, Ukraine) in 2007 and 2008, last year he presented a lecture on his project of type based on Russian skoropis. He also took part in Moscow International Biennale of Graphic Design «Golden Bee 8» (2008) and in international typography conference ATypI (2008). He won the second prize for perfection in the type and graphic design in students competition organized by ParaType for Epiphany typeface (2008). Winner at International type design competition Modern Cyrillic 2009 (for Epiphany and Fry typefaces).
